After ten years of art directing in the gaming industry, I was asked by Sony to take the lead in creating the UX and UI for a massive multi-player online game for DC Comics, one of the world’s most recognized brands.
The basic challenge of creating such a vast user interface alone was hard enough. Comparatively, crafting this interface for the PC market was significantly easier because of the amount of screen real estate and the freedom of movement a mouse provides. However, the same interface needed to work for a PlayStation controller. The design of the game enabled a PlayStation player to face a PC player, and neither could be at a disadvantage because of UI access. We successfully designed and developed this unique user experience and interface with a brilliant team of in-house developers and designers.
